Problem Solving
the
strategic problem solver is like an espert sailer
The strategic Problem solving can be defined as the art to solve the complicated personal, interpersonal and organizations' (community, companies, etc) problems, by means of tactics and techniques, with the maximum effectiveness (problem solution) and efficiency (used time and efforts). The
strategic problem solving is based on a precise and rigorous logical
model of intervention, referring to that branch of mathematical Logic
known as "strategic Logic", to the theory of the communication
born in anthropological field with G. Bateson, to the constructivist
developments of the cybernetic theory (H. von Foerster, and von Glasersfeld),
to the studies on the language of persuasion by Milton Erickson and
to the contribution of the Mental Research Institute in Palo Alto
(P. Watzlawick, Weakland, Fisch, Jackson) is due to the work of widening
and systematization of the A
further application-oriented contribution has been brought by Giorgio
Nardone (The Art of Change, Strategic
Therapy and Hypnotherapy Without Trance Jossey - Bass,
San Francisco, USA 1990- Terapia Breve Strategica,
Raffaello Cortina 1997 with Paul Watzlawick, "La
terapia dell'azienda malata" 2000) who has organized
with a rigorous procedure of empiricist-experimental research of strategic
intervention protocols for specific clinical problems creating a new
advanced model. The intervention model is divided in the following essential stages: · identification of the objective to be achieved · Analysis of the attempted solutions · Definition of the problem to be solved · Application of the strategy · Measurement of the effects and possible strategy · Closing of the intervention. The use of the strategic communication in its twofold possibility (explicative or persuasive) is moreover a fundamental instrument in the intervention application (direct, indirect, supervision, training, etc..).
SCHOOL IN COMMUNICATION and STRATEGIC PROBLEM SOLVING Aims The
two-year school (8 meetings a year) wants to introduce the participants
the strategic model in communication and problem solving in its theoretical
foundations and its application to the organizational contexts as:
companies, organizations, community, cooperatives, associations, schools,
groups, etc.
The branch is in Milan, organised by Dr Roberta Milanese tel.-
